BRIDGING PROJECTS

The bridging projects as indicated by our funding agency NIGMS is to support work in the laboratories of the individual participating investigators when that work is intended to provide either a bridging function to more fully integrate the individual work with the collaborative project or a service function to develop data or resources or technology to benefit the overall glue project.
Bridging projects should add to or bridge the intellectual and technological approaches of the collaborative project. They are not meant to be stand-alone research efforts but are to be efforts that tie, or enhance the contribution of, the independent work and expertise of the participating investigator to the large-scale collaborative project.
